Biography:

UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER - THE VOCAL

Birth: Wuppertal 1952.4.6. Lenght: 169 cm.

Udo got his music interest when he was about 12 - 13, when the Beatles and Stones songs came out.

From the beginning Udo wanted to be an organ player but the wish disappeared and instead he just sang (Thank god).

In the beginning he made music with people at the school just for joy. By the time he began practising more and intensively and took it more seriously.

Udo imitated certain singers, copying a lot of Gillan, Jagger and Rod Stewart. He did this because they all have their own ways of singing and Udo thought it important to find out how they did it. In this way he developed his (Godsent) voice.

Udo’s been producing other groups and he also co-sang on the Raven album "Unchain The Beast". In 1990 he suffered a heart attack/body breakdown because he worked to much. Udo will release a new album with his own group U.D.O. in 97 and let us hope that he just concentrates on the music this time.

 WOLF HOFFMANN - GUITAR

Birth: Maine 1959.12.10. Lenght: 192 cm

He started playing at the age of 13. The first two years on acoustic guitar. He begged his parents til’ they bought him a super-cheap electric guitar. He went in with a Wuppertal band called Baal which also did a little tour.

At the start he listened to Ritchie Blackmore, Rory Gallagher and Mark Farner as well as Brian May on Queen’s first albums. He also listen(ed) to Scorpions and especially when Uli Roth still was the guitarist. In 1998 release a new own instrumental album "Classical"

STEFAN KAUFMANN - DRUMS

Birth: Solingen 1960.8.4. Lenght: 172 cm.
Stefan began with playing guitar which wasn’t to succesful. At the age of 13 - 14 he wanted to play drums instead. He assembled and built a foot machine, hedidn’t have any cymbals but a snare. Later his father gave him a real percussion set. It was by now Stefan started to practise. Day after day he dashed the drums.

After a while he joined a band with Jurg Fischer called "Frenzy". It was not a succesful combination and after a frightful appearance he took his drum-kit back to the cellar and continued practising. He tought himself. It took about one or two years until he made his next appearance in a band called "Fathers Of Intention", again with Jurg Fischer on guitar. This was beginning for Stefan before he came
to join Accept.

Stefan has been producing artists like, Rough, Casanova Silk and of course U.D.O.  He played guitar on U.D.O.’s Judas Priest cover of Metal Gods. Who knows, maybe there is a guitarist in Stefan after all?

PETER BALTES - BASS GUITAR

Birth: Solingen 1958.4.4. Lenght: 189 cm.
When Peter heard Deep Purple for the first time he knew exactly that it was his kind of music. Before he joined Accept he played in a band called "Pythagoras".
They had songs like "Ketchup" and "600 years", which they wrote on the occasion of the 600th anniversary celebrations of the town Solingen.

When he first time saw and heard Accept, he fell in love. It was loud, aggressive and then Udo’s voice - A killer band.

Peter has played bass with Dokken on their very first album and on "Up From The Ashes". He also played on John Norum’s album "Face The Thruth" and now on the new Norum album "Worlds Away".
