Pulsedriver - the whole story
Behind the project PULSEDRIVER stands Slobodan Petrovic jr. born in
Schleswig-Holstein near Neumunster. The congenial 27 year-old starts his
dj
career in 1990 in the most different clubs in Northern Germany, doing the
most
different styles. Rapidly he falls for the fascination of house, techno
and
trance. Particularly trance gives him the energy and motivation to master
the
difficult initial phase.
Known by the name 'DJ TIBBY' he establishes himself quickly. Within the
shortest
period of time he is a welcome guest at the in-locations as REBASE in Kiel,
the
BAMBU in Neustadt/H. or the TUNNEL in Hamburg.
Through the experience he gains, he developes a need to do his own records,
to
immortalize his definition of trance on vinyl. With this he innovates from dj
to
producer.
1996 follows his first release 'AQUALOOP - Twilight Zone'.The single
quickly
turn into a true clubhymn.
Further releases under that name and other club projects follow the great
success of the first release.
The international breakthrough doesn't start quite spectacular. In November
1997
the project PULSEDRIVER is brought to live. Under this name a new definition
of
innovative tranceis established: a harder, more pushing and kicking trance.
The
single 'Pulsedriver - Rhythmic Trip' wakes up the international club and
rave
scene and the following releases 'Timemashine' and 'I'm rushing' turn
PULSEDRIVER into a permanent club act.
The single 'Kiss that sound / Something for your mind' brings the
commercial
success. Sensational dance chart rankings are followed by the entrance into
the
German charts for the first time. With the following releases 'I dominate
U',
'Take U high' and 'Your Spirit is shining' the way to the top goes on and
on.
The single Cambodoa/Recycle succeeds in the charts: it's No.11 in Germany and
in
Austria No. 5.
His innovative style turnes PULSEDRIVER -also as a remixer- into a guarantor
for
club hits; with his great remix skills he helps projects like MELLOW
TRAX,
VENGABOYS, BROOKLYN BOUNCE or FRAGMA to new success.
The PULSEDRIVER sound with its fast pace describes a new music style:
'Trancecore'. Under this name Slobodan puts together a 3 mix compilation
that
highly meets the expectations of the clubbing and raving scene. With more
-both
national and international- mix-compilations like 'TechnoClub', 'DJ Giants'
or
't-zone' he continues his great success.
At the beginning of the new millenium, to give his ideas and experience an
own
platform, he starts the new label 'AQUALOOP RECORDS'. By now the more than
ten
releases do maintain in the club and dance charts alltogether. With the
new
project and name 'Sergeant Pepper' he can place Aqualoop 10 for the first
time
for an Aqualoop-release in the official charts.

Endlich ist es da! Das Debütalbum
von Pulsedriver. Nachdem seine
aktuelle Single "Cambodia", eine
Clubversion des 80er Jahre
Klassikers vom Kim Wilde erst
kürzlich von null auf 18 in die
Media Control Charts eingestiegen
ist, setzt Pulsedriver noch eins
drauf und präsentiert sein
Debütalbum "Sequence".

Info's
DJ Tibby alias Pulsedriver kann mit 24 Jahren bereits
auf acht ereignisreiche
Jahre im Technogeschäft zurückblicken. Er ist Resident-DJ
im Nexus-Club,
dreht die Scheiben aber auch gerne mal nebenbei für andere
Clubs in ganz
Europa. Für grössere Events war er bereits des öfteren
im Einsatz, u.a. zur
uns allen bekannten "Loveparade".
Das Projekt "Pulsedriver" steht für Trance- und Hardtrance-Sounds
vom
allerfeinsten. Melodisch, clubtauglich und absolut tanzbar.
Feel it! - Euer Herz
schlägt scheller! Ihr beginnt die Beats zu fühlen! Pulsedriver
bringt das Blut in
Wallung! Kaum ein anderer Act kombiniert auf so perfekte
Art und Weise fette
Beats und satte Sounds und sorgt für Bewegung!
Die ersten drei Singles des Projektes gingen voll ab in
den Clubs und mit der
vierten Pulsedriver, "Kiss That Sound" schoss er wie
aus dem Nichts direkt
ganz hoch in die Deutschen Dance Charts. Kein Wunder,
denn innerhalb von
nur 2 Tagen war die Erstauflage von 2000 Vinyls bereits
ausverkauft. Deshalb
verwunderte es auch niemanden, als die Scheibe in den
Media-Control-Charts
auftauchte, in Deutschland sowie in Holland.
Mit "I Dominate U" zeigt er, dass es sich nicht um eine
Eintagsfliege handelte,
denn auch diese Nummer ist in die Dance Charts geschossen
und tauchte
ebenfalls in den offiziellen Verkaufscharts auf. Aufgrund
dieser Erfolge
benannte die DDC das Projekt zum zweiterfolgreichsten
Danceact in
Deutschland des Halbjahres '99. Desweitern erhielt Pulsedriver
wegen
besonders erfolgreichem Verkauf der Schallplatten die
Auszeichnung "silber"
vom Vinyl-Vertrieb Discomania.

Das Stück hat vor allem eines: Drive! Freunde, geht die
ab... Und irgendwie
klingt das Stück doch familiär. Wer das nicht versteht,
hat entweder nicht
richtig reingehört, oder muss nochmal die alten Platten
aus der Motten(!)kiste
kramen. Als Sahnehäubchen mit "Inside my Head" ein pumpendes,
housiges
Stück mit Mörderbreak.
