Die Gruppe HIGHLAND mit ihrem Lied "Bella
                                             Stella" ist ein, bisher einmaliges, Projekt aus der
                                                Berliner Popszene. Zunächst nur für den
                                             regionalen Vertrieb vorgesehen, mauserte sich
                                             das Stück zu einem Verkaufsschlager, der den
                                                Ohrwurm im Handumdrehen in die Top 10
                                                              brachte.

                                                Das Stück glänzt durch seine gelungene
                                               Mischung aus Hip-Hop und Dance-Floor mit
                                             klassischen Einlagen. Bestechend insbesondere
                                              die helle Stimme der jungen, blonden Vampirin
                                              die den Refrain "Bella Stella" zum Besten gibt.
                                              Der Hip-Hop Anteil nimmt nicht Überhand und
        läßt sich gut anhören. Dabei wechseln ein Rapper und eine Rapperin zwischen den
                           klassisch, italienischen Gesangseinlagen.

      Der heimliche Star des Titels - und sicherlich in nicht geringem Maße mitverantwortlich für
        den Erfolg - ist das bezauberne Musikvideo, welches derzeit regelmäßig auf VIVA zu
        sehen ist. Ein junges Pärchen, Rapper und Rapperin, gelangt zu einem alten Schloß.
         Hier treffen sie auf barock gekleidete Damen und einen Herrn, die sich allesamt als
       Vampire entpuppen. Sie versuchen die Musiker zu verführen und zu beißen, was ihnen
      auch teilweise gelingt. Am Ende greift schließlich einer der Rapper zum Vorhang und legt
      ein großes Fenster frei. Greller Sonnenschein bricht durch das Glas und läßt die Vampire
        zu kleinen Aschehäuflein werden. Doch zumindest der Rapper trägt nun zwei große
      Bissmale am Hals. Die Musiker verlassen das Schloß. Die Schloßherrin selbst, eben jene
        blonde Vampirin in ihrem schwarzen Kleid, die den Refrain trällert, scheint das ganze
       überlebt zu haben, oder aber es handelt sich um einen Rückblick, wenn sie die letzten
                               Zeilen des Songs von sich gibt.
 
 

       Optisch, wie musikalisch ein Genuß. Amüsiert frage ich mich allerdings, wie jemand mit
                    langen Vampirzähnen, so klar und schön singen kann ;-)
        Die Maxi-CD selbst enthält drei Versionen des gleichen Titels. Der Radio Mix mit 3:53
      Minuten zeigt schon, daß es sich nicht unbedingt um ein kurzes Stück handelt. Trotzdem
        scheint es noch zu wenig - kann man doch einfach nicht genug bekommen. Der 4:54
          Minuten lange Extended Mix besticht lediglich durch ein heftiges E-Gitarren Solo
      zwischendurch, ist ansonsten jedoch identisch mit dem Radio Mix. Angenehm anders ist
       dagegen der Club Mix mit 5:23 Minuten. Dabei handelt es sich nicht einfach um nur das
      gleiche Stück mit halt ein bißchen Bumm-Bumm und einer phantasielosen Verfremdung
        des eigentlichen Titels, sondern man stellt erfreut fest, daß sich die Produzenten sehr
        viel Mühe gegeben haben, eine gute Dance-Floor Version voller Groove abzuliefern.
     Ein gutes Stück flotter hämmert der wohltönende Bass dahin, immer wieder begleitet von
       Segmenten des eigentlichen Songs. Es wird ein kurzes Stück gerappt, dann ein kurzes
       Stück Refrain angespielt, jedoch nie ganz zuende gebracht. Die weitere musikalische
       Ausschmückung des Club Mix kann sich sehen - verzeihung - hören lassen. Gleich zu
       Beginn begleitet uns das schwere Atmen eines oder mehrerer Vampire. Zwischendurch
           einige Glockenschläge und nicht zuletzt eine melodiöse und sehr vielseitige
       Instrumentierung des eigentlichen Songs. Man erkennt genügend 'Bella Stella' im Club
         Mix, doch gleichzeitig hebt er sich ausreichend vom Ursprung ab, um als neuer Titel
      glänzen zu können, durchaus mit der Chance in den Discotheken ein neuer Renner zu
                                         werden.

                      Egy kristálytiszta vokál egy gyönyörû dallammal, amibe
                    mindenáron belekarattyol néhány szerencsétlen, fontoskodó,
                    akaratos rapper. Már régen meg akartam mondani, de a német
                   hip-hop tulajdonképpen arra épül, hogy nagyon is szép dalokat
                   marhára elrontanak mindenféle hangulatfokozó narrátorok, akik
                     többnyire idegen tollakkal ékeskedve tudják felverekedni
                     magukat a rádiók játszási listájára. A Club Mix már dance
                    alapokra készült, de a hangulatfokozó MC-k ott sem maradtak
                     munka nélkül, mi meg kiélvezhetjük a német hip-hop minden
                                  mesterkélt varázsát.
