    Робин Содерман (Robin
                 Soderman), являющийся
                 первой половинкой
                 Шведского дуэта,
                 занимающегося
                 танцевальной музыкой,
                 "Antiloop", начинал с
     ди-джейства. Дэвид Вестерланд (David
     Westerlund) - вторая половинка -
     профессиональный классический
     музыкант. В 1994 году оба устали от той
     музыки, что им приходилось играть, и
     решили писать свою собственную, лучшую
     музыку; с чего и началась их совместная
     работа по созданию качественной
     компьютерной электронщины.

     Первым их релизом стал
     "Beauty & The Beast". Вскоре он
     стал мощным хитом на
     постоянно развивавшейся
     клубной арене Стокгольма;
     клип попал в ротацию на MTV,
     шведское Z-TV и даже на русское
     телевидение (!). Все еще будучи
     неуверенными в том, что все поймут их
     творчество правильно, Antiloop назвали
     свою первую пластинку "N.S.F.M.C - Not
     Suitable For Mass Consumption"
     (Непригодно для Массового
     Восприятия)...
     - Но, к нашему великому удивлению,
     запись разошлась весьма неплохо. Мы
     подумать не могли, что так много людей
     воспримут тот коктейль из звуков
     синтезатора Roland TB-303, heavy
     trance'овых битов и стрингов, но они
     восприняли, и пластинка попала в лучшую
     тридцатку Шведского Чарта Синглов.-
     Antiloop

     Antiloop также делает ремиксы другим
     исполнителям, среди которых E-Type (их
     версия "Calling Your Name" достигла 17-ой
     строки на Billboard Club chart) и Aqua
     ("Doctor Jones" и "Lollipop").

     Группа выпускает свой первый альбом
     нормальной продолжительности (на
     виниле "LP - Long Play") в 1997 году. С
     этого альбома стали хитовыми два
     сингла: "In My Mind" и "Nowhere To Hide".
     Сингл "In My Mind" дошел аж до 6-ой
     строчки Swedish Sales Chart и стал
     "золотым" (продажи достигли отметки в
     15.000), после чего он добрался до 13-го
     места в Дании, 4-го в Норвегии (где трэк
     опять-таки стал "золотым"!) и 9-го в
     Финляндии. Очень неплохо все тот же
     сингл показал себя и в иных чартах: в
     Голландии, Бельгии, Израиле, Греции,
     Канаде.. Во Франции он достиг номера 2 в
     чарте и продано более 200 000 копий
     этого диска.

     В июне 1998 года Polydor UK собираются
     выпустить сингл, но он уже входит в
     двадцатку лучших треков в чартах Record
     Mirror Club, Pop Tip и Mixmag Update.
     Третий сингли - "Trespasser" - в это время
     выпускается в Скандинавии, и сразу же
     пробивается на второе место в Swedish
     Dance Chart, после чего с легкостью
     достигает отметки "ПЕРВАЯ СТРОЧКА".

     MTV поддерживало группу с самого
     начала. "In My Mind" был в ротации на MTV
     North Buzz Bin больше 16 недель, а
     "Nowhere To Hide" - в их Breakout-ротации
     более 12 недель. На Holland's Music
     Factory (TMF) трэк "In My Mind"
     продержался в режиме PowerPlay (это
     проигрывание композиции по паре раз в
     час) несколько недель, а "Nowhere To
     Hide" до сих пор держится в их ротации.

     Альбом "LP" достигает "золотого" уровня
     в Швеции и занимает восьмое место в
     чарте Альбомов по объемам продаж. В
     это время пластинка все еще делает
     много шума по всей Европе.

     В 1997 году Antiloop получил Swedish
     Dance Music Award в категории "Лучшее
     творение в стиле Хаус/Техно". В феврале
     1998 они получают шведскую Grammy
     Award в категории "Лучшая современная
     танцевальная музыка", а в апреле 1998
     они умудряются урвать аж ЧЕТЫРЕ (!)
     Swedish Dance Music Award в категориях:
     "Лучшее творение в стиле Хаус/Техно",
     "Лучший танцевальный альбом", "Лучший
     танцевальный сингли" ("In My Mind") и
     "Лучшая танцевальная группа".

Antiloop was founded in 1994 by the friends and neighbours Robin SЖderman
and David Westerlund. They grew up together on the island of LidingЖ
outside Stockholm, and are friends of each otherЄs childhoods. Robin and
                       David are both raised in musical families, and David
                       has also been playing the piano at school, so thatЄs
                       probably why they are so talented. When David
                       reached the age of 17, and
                       Robin was 21, and had been
                       working as DJЄs for a couple
                       of years, and David had played
                       the piano, they decided to
                       start producing their own
                       music. Robin was sick and
                       tired of all bad music he had
to play on his gigs as DJ, so that's one reason why
they started producing their own, and according to
them, better music. You can say that David is most
the musical of the two of them because of his growth and long practice of
the piano, and that Robin is the one with most experience within the dance
music.

Some secrets that most people donЄt know about Robin and David, are that
David is almost totally deaf to his left ear, and that Robin has a driving
licence for the truck. Both of them have girlfriends, so they mean that
all groupies are pretty annoying, but that itЄs nice to be popular.

Their first big hit, "Beauty & The Beast", was released on their first EP
called N.S.F.M.C. in 1995, and reached the 33:rd place on the Swedish
Dance Chart. The video to "Beauty & The Beast", was shown on TV channels
as Z-TV and the huge international music channel MTV. This was the success
they had wanted and worked hard for, and that they needed to get a good
reputation. After "Beauty & The Beast", they continued producing a couple
of hits, for example the singles "In My Mind", "Nowhere To hide" and
"Trespasser", which has sold very good, and reached even higher on the
singles lists than the success "Beauty & The Beast" did. In My Mind has
sold Gold in both Sweden, Norway and France, and is the biggest hit of
Antiloop so far. The video to the song even claimed a well deserved 7:th
                                           place on the MTV Dancefloor.
                                           "In My Mind" made Antiloop more
                                           known in Sweden, and of course
                                           in the rest of the Europe,
                                           because of the fresh video. The
                                           latest single, "Trespasser",
                                           which was released in April
                                           1998, is a success so far, and
                                           was #1 on the Swedish Dance
                                           Charts for five (!) week in a
                                           row.

                                           When Antiloop released their
                                           first album, LP, in the
                                           beginning of June 1997, they
                                           became "Masters Of Swedish
                                           Dance Music", and as good as
                                           everyone know them since that.
                                           They have appeared in TV shows
                                           (Partyzone at MTV etc.), radio
programmes and in and in alot of music magazines as well as newspapers.
1997 was the year when Antiloop really broke through, and their largest
success in their music career so far, was probably when they won a Swedish
Grammis, for Best Modern Dance of Sweden 1997. Right now they are
working hard with a new album (infact so hard that they had to cancel
their summer tour of 1998), and they are also working hard to popularize
their music in the US, and in South America.
