        North America's Godfather of the Happy Hardcore rave
        scene is happily based in Toronto Canada. He was one of
        the first to discover this descendant genre of the UK's
        original 'rave' sound and single handidly brought it to
        prominence on this side of the pond. Besides being one
        of the first happy hardcore djs over here, he started a
        record distribution company (Nokturnal Records) to help
        spread his favorite vinyl.Before long he was traveling
        up and down the country and signed up with Moonshine,
        America's largest compilation company to compile and mix
        the best selling Happy 2b Hardcore series which has gone
        on to sell north of 100 000 copies with volume 4 on it's
        way early 2000.

        Not satisfied with the rave scene in his own home town
        he started his own production company, Hullabaloo! The
        now legendary parties have become world renowned for
        their vibe and atmosphere (not to mention 'cult'
        following - they didn't even print flyers for their last
        2 sold-out events), which can be heavily attributed to
        the type of music being played there and the man in
        charge. Ravers from all across Canada and America make
        the pilgrimedge every few months to take part.

        Frolic also takes other active parts in his home-town
        rave scene. A founding member of the Toronto Dance
        Safety Commitee (TDSC), a group of promoters working
        with city politicians, police, fire, city officials and
        members of the rave community, they were able to
        circumvent a 'crackdown' on the Toronto rave scene.
        Working together they came up with a set of guidlines
        promoters would follow which satisfied the city and
        authorities. Now raves can operate safely, legally and
        with the city's consent. He's also an active supporter
        of the Toronto Raver Info Project (TRIP), a group of
        volunteers who do harm reduction work within the rave
        community. For a recent party, $1 from every ticket was
        donated to TRIP.

        Playing throughout the U.S and Canada regularly, often
        playing the first ever hardcore set in a city, Frolic
        has consistently thrown partiers into hardcore bliss. At
        the core of it all is his love for the music and his
        commitment to spread it far and wide.

         The sound of Happy Hardcore was born in the UK and is the
         forerunner of jungle. It is still largely an underground
         phenomenon, but has an increasingly dedicated following.
         Anabolic Frolic is the DJ who has single handedly brought
         Happy Hardcore to North America. A longtime techno fan, he
         became hooked on the manic sounds that defines the Happy
         Hardcore sound several years ago. In a matter of months he
         began to DJ, and quickly set up Nokturnal Records in
         Toronto, Canada. It was through Nokturnal's set up that he
         was able to supply North America with records previously
         only available in Europe. Anabolic has since then become
         the acknowledged authority and leader of the Happy
         Hardcore movement on this continent. In conjunction with
         Moonshine, he is bringing his passion to the masses and
         earning the genre the respect it deserves.

         Happy Hardcore is the friendlier cousin to the harder
         edged `Hardcore' that originated in Holland. While it
         maintains the same breakneck tempo-the beats are up around
         180 BPM, it creates a completely different vibe.
         Continuing in the tradition he created with the first two
         H2BH installments, Anabolic Frolic brings together tracks
         that are anthems of the scene. This music is all about
         pure positive feeling that is set to pounding beats. It
         creates an adrenaline rush intensified by uplifting vocals
         that take you on a rollercoaster ride of sound. Imagine
         thousands of bouncing raver kids- hands in the air,
         smiling and feeding off each others energy, and one gets
         an idea why Happy Hardcore is the latest genre of
         electronic dance music to take the rave scene by storm.
