The qualifying exams at Auburn are held in the fall semester. Those who failed any section (classical mechanics, statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics, electrodynamics) must retake it in spring and pass. So the problem set for a certain year may begin with the retake part. Note than since 2005, classical and statistical mechanics have been joined into one section. Some of the problems sets are incomplete, and for some years (2000, 2002) they are missing entirely. There are problem sets from the years earlier than 1992 but they were not organized too well. I found the problems starting from 1987, but some sections and even parts of the sections are missing. Some more problems were found for the missing sections in the 1992 and 1993 sets.
